Alberto Simnovec

My working life began at the age of 18 in Trieste. I was hired at the Kawasaki workshop. After a year, Piaggio-Gilera offered me a position with them as the person in charge of the Gilera section.

Kawasaki

Kawasaki invited me to join a new project to participate in the World Superbike Championship, WorldSBK, as the official Kawasaki team with rider Piergiorgio Bontempi.

1995

Honda and Yamaha

In 1995, I received a good offer and worked at the Honda and Yamaha workshop as a manager.

WSBK

Self-Employed

In 1997, I decided to make a change and registered as self-employed to open my own workshop.

1997

2015

Gran Canaria

In 2015, I decided to move with my family to Gran Canaria. I shipped all my tools and machinery in a container to start a collaboration with a motorcycle workshop in Gran Canaria.

BERMODEL

In 2017, the collaboration didn’t work out, so I decided to open my own workshop and work alone, as I’ve always done — in my own way and with my standard of quality.

2018

Z CUP

Abian Santana

Abian Santana asked me to form a team to take part in the Kawasaki Cup, the ‘European Kawasaki Z CUP’. The motorcycle, a Kawasaki Z900, was modified at the Bermodel workshop and then sent to the mainland to participate in the season’s races.

BERMODEL Racing

The rider Abian Santana won the season and became the 2018 Z CUP champion, along with the team ‘Bermodel Racing’, which provided him with all the support he needed in every race.
